Highlights & Technologies:

AX SUEDE RECYCLED:
This PERFORMANCE SUEDE made from recycled polyester is breathable, quick-drying and durable. As a result, this material provides high comfort and ideal tactility.

ECONYL RECYCLING:
The ECONYL yarn is made from used nylon fabric in an upcycling process. During the four steps of rescue, regeneration, reissue and reinterpretation, waste products such as fishing nets, fabric scraps and carpeting are transformed into ECONYL. The ECONYL regeneration system makes the oceans cleaner and saves valuable resources.

LAVALAN:
The functional padding consists largely of European virgin wool. The wool in the product is traceable and comes from farms in Europe that rely on a regional supply chain and species-appropriate animal husbandry, without any mulesing. Biodegradable fibres (polyactide, PLA) made from renewable raw materials are used to reinforce the wool. The proportion of PLA used varies depending on the area of application of the padding: lavalan – the wool insulation.
LAVALAN wool also fulfils the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100:
This product is certified in accordance with the Oeko Tex standard “Confidence in Textiles“, which means that it is tested for harmful substances according to Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex. The product complies with the latest human-ecological requirements: no carcinogenic substances, no formaldehyde, no allergy-inducing dyes, skin-friendly pH value.

MULESING:
Mulesing is a widespread surgical procedure in Australia, practised in sheep farming for the production of wool. In this procedure, the sensitive skin on the hindquarters of lambs, which has many wrinkles due to breeding, is cut off with a sharp knife and usually without anaesthesia.
The wool for this product comes from sheep that have not been subjected to mulesing, thus setting an example against the torturous procedure.

SWEAT WIPER:
Use of particularly absorbent material for wiping away sweat.

THUMBPATCH:
Specially cut thumb patch that prevents pressure points on the skin.

VELCRO GUARD:
Trimming on the sharp Velcro edge to reduce destruction of the glove material and increase operating comfort.

WOOL PAD:
The large palm padding made of washable LAVALAN virgin wool provides a comfortable grip feeling on the handlebar thanks to its ideal damping properties. In addition, the material optimally absorbs moisture and ensures outstanding temperature equalisation while cycling.
