Fox 34 Step-Cast Factory 2021 Float FIT4 Remote MTB Suspension Fork

“Down-Country” at its best!
The 34 Step-Cast Factory continues to pioneer a new generation of modern racing forks in FOX's high-quality range for the 2021 model year. And even if "down-country" is only a trendy term so far, it describes the range of use of this suspension fork really well. The combination of low weight and nimbleness uphill and beefy downhill qualities makes it the first choice on increasingly aggressive XC courses and for extensive touring on a short-stroke trail bike.

The technology of this "trail blazer" is the advanced Step-Cast technology from the in-house 32 series. As to the casting, however, the 34 Step-Cast chooses a slightly different path than the 32 Step-Cast.
It keeps its regular width and relocates the distinctive step in the casting to the outside of the lower fork tubes. In view of the predominant use of the trail fork, this is a sensible decision, because this leaves more space for up to 2.6” large tyres (in 27.5“ even up to 2.8“). The result leaves nothing to be desired. With identical stiffness compared to the traditional 34 Factory with 140 mm travel, the Step-Cast is almost 230 grams lighter. The comparison with the already very lightweight 32 standard chassis is even clearer. The Fox 34 Step-Cast Factory, in combination with the Kabolt screw axle, is even approx. 140 grams lighter and, what’s more, even approx. 15% stiffer.

Of course, it also has all the technological features that make up a genuine Fox fork in the Factory series. Low-friction Kashima coating, high-quality SKF seals, closed 3-Pos FIT4 damping cartridge and Float air spring with EVOL technology. The 34 Step-Cast Factory has all of FOX’s top techologies on board.

Thanks to the improved Float-EVOL air spring with enlarged negative chamber and user-friendly 2-Pos FIT4 damping cartridge, which can be controlled in no time via the remote handlebar lever, the 34 Factory impresses with very sensible responding qualities, a linear spring characteristic with a good amount of support in the middle travel range and easy adaptation to the individual requirements. 2 directly adjustable compression settings (Open, Firm) allow a lightning-fast adjustment of the fork to different terrain conditions at the push of a button. Moreover, the suspension fork comes with 22 clicks low-speed compression in open mode to perfectly adapt the riding qualities to the pilot’s preferences.
In addition, the progression of the spring characteristic curve of the FOX 34 Step-Cast Factory can be adapted to your own needs with volume spacers.
