The popular FLUX helmet by FOX was given a facelift. What’s new is the MIPS system that protects you during falls with rotational impacts. New are also the larger vents, the revised pads, the upgraded strap system and the VARIZORB technology in the EPS foam which now comes with different density zones for improved protection in critical areas.

The VARIZORB technology combines EPS layers of different densities in one mould for improved shock absorption.
During the INMOLD process, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is fused with the shock-absorbing inner shell in the mold using steam and pressure. This creates a stronger yet lightweight helmet. In addition, this manufacturing process allows forming significantly better ventilation systems and vents. Compared to conventional helmets, INMOLD helmets are thus lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems.
BIG BORE AIRFLOW:
Large air inlets and outlets ensure a great air flow and pleasant cooling, especially on exhausting tours.
The FIDLOCK buckle is a snap button closure with additional security. The metal pin is not only pressed inward, but also pushed a little to the side inside a steel chamber, so that the closure cannot open by itself anymore.
The liner with fibres that contain silver comes with an antibacterial finish to reduce odour formation. The warmth-reflecting and breathable properties of the fabric allow for a pleasant climate.
WHAT IS MIPS?
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a slip-plane system within the helmet designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head possibly reducing head injury from rotational impacts.
WHY IS MIPS IMPORTANT?
When a head rotates quickly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration can cause the brain tissue to experience high levels of strain. This stretching of the tissue that can be caused by these motions can result in various types of brain injury. MIPS is designed with the intent to address rotational acceleration from impact.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
MIPS uses a slip-plane system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brain’s own protection system. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science tells us that if we can reduce the strains associated with rotational acceleration, we might reduce the risk and severity of brain injury.
