The mechanical MX-5 disc brake by Hayes is the successor model of the popular Hayes MX-4 and compatible with all standard MTB brake levers for V brakes. As it comes with the post mount standard, the brake may be installed on both front and rear wheel. The proper disc rotor with a diameter of 160mm is already supplied with the MX-5.

Die Ware ist in Ordnung. Als ich vor ein paar Wochen anfing, mich vertraut zu machen mit den Details (alle, die alles schon wissen, bitte ich um Nachsicht), lernte ich, dass es gut sei, wenn vorne 180mm-Scheiben zur Anwendung kommen, wodurch eine ganz bestimmte Adaptergeometrie fällig ist. Ein kleiner Hinweis wäre ausgezeichnet. So musste ich mir eine Shimano-Scheibe im Einzelhandel und einen passenden Adapter im Netz besorgen. Keine große Sache. Der Sattel macht einen stabilen und unverwüstlichen Eindruck. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Bitte zwei Optionen (160/180) anbieten.
Deshalb kaufte ich für das Hinterrad die Shimano BR-R517, weil sie mit dem passenden Adapter für eine 160mm-Scheibe geliefert wird. Somit fand auch die Hayes-Scheibe ihre Verwendung.
