With the Ardent Race, MAXXIS fills the gap between the thoroughbred XC tyre Ikon and the trail tyre Ardent.
It has a medium-height tread and, although the centre knobs are tightly placed, they still have enough room for self-cleaning. Moreover, they are ramped to reduce rolling resistance. The side knobs are angled and stepped to provide great biting traction in corners. That’s why the Ardent Race is the right tyre for all-round use and on dry trails.

3C MAXX SPEED
The fastest 3C compound by MAXXIS for XC and some all-mountain / enduro tyres. With its hard base layer and its fast centre compound, it is designed for lowest rolling resistance. However, the shoulder compounds also provide excellent grip while cornering – even in wet conditions.)
TUBELESS READY (TR)
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: The ability to run lower air pressures. This improves traction and reduces rolling resistance. There is less chance of flatting since there is no tube. MAXXIS TR tyres can be perfectly mounted with liquid sealants. The bead of this tubeless ready tyre is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like real tubeless tyres. That’s why, tubeless mounting with all rims with standard dimensions can be carried out fast, easily and with little liquid.)
