Details

The Michelin Protek Max bicycle tube can repair tyre damages caused by stitch damages itself. Thanks to its specially shaped rubber beads on the tread and its circular knobs on the flange, the tube presses together the hole of a stitch damage and seals it additionally with a special gel inside the tube.
Thanks to its relatively rectangular shape, the tube fits straight and evenly into the rim bed when mounting it, which makes the assembly a lot easier. Moreover, the tube cannot slip inside the tyre anymore.

Zum ersten Mal Michelin statt Schwalbe getestet und direkt den schlechtesten Schlauch meines Lebens bekommen.
Das herausschraubbare Einsatz war so schlecht gefertigt, dass das Ventil einfach nicht dicht werden konnte. Also bin ich losgezogen und hab einen andern
en Schraubeinsatz besorgt. Jetzt hält er dicht.
Mal gespannt, ob der Schlauch wenigstens im Langzeittest überzeugt und so lang den Druck hält, wie die Verpackung behauptet.

Bisher ist alles i.O. hat die ersten 500 km über z.T. groben, spitzen Schotter gut überstanden.
Das höhere Gewicht spielt bei mir als Hobbyradler keine Rolle.
Langzeiterfahrung muss noch folgen

Der Schlauch lässt sich gut montieren und ich hatte auf 865 Kilometern in sechs Tagen keine Panne. Leider hält das Ventil nicht wirklich dicht und beide Reifen mussten nach 48 Stunden nachgepumpt werden. In beiden Schläuchen verklumpte das Pannengel nach wenigen Wochen, was eine starke Unwucht verursacht. Die Schläuche sind gut für eine lange Tour, aber nach der Tour leider Sondermüll... Schade.
