NORTHWAVE X-MAGMA CORE winter/hybrid MTB shoes

The NORTHWAVE X-MAGMA CORE winter shoes were developed for all types of tracks. They are also recommended for e-bike riding and daily commuting. Their combination of PRIMALOFT GOLD insulation, warming lining and ARTCIC 4LAYER insole provides good protection from the cold.

PRIMALOFT GOLD:
PRIMALOFT is an ultra-fine insulating microfibre material for cold weather and all-season clothes – incredibly soft, light and highly compressible for a small pack size, yet shape-retaining. PRIMALOFT is wind-resistant, breathable and offers excellent water-repellent properties. Once it is wet, it dries extremely fast. However, even when wet, PRIMALOFT retains its insulating properties and thus even ensures a comfortable, dry and warm feeling in extreme weather. The PRIMALOFT GOLD quality absorbs three times less water, is 14% warmer than other synthetic insulating materials when dry and 24% warmer when wet, easy-care and durable.

EXPLORER:
The EXPLORER sole was developed by NORTHWAVE in cooperation with MICHELIN with the aim to combine high XC performance with best walkability on any ground. The midsole offers just the right level of stiffness for best power transfer to the pedal, while the more flexible Medial Zone ensures excellent walkability. The tread inspired by MICHELIN and the outer shell are 100% made of MICHELIN rubber, which is more abrasion-resistant than TPU und guarantees best grip in any weather.

MICHELIN rubber tread:
The rubber inserts with two-layer technology are especially abrasion-resistant and offer extremely high grip on all grounds thanks to the special tread design.

CLIMAFLEX:
The CLIMAFLEX collar made from soft, insulating neoprene and a highly elastic membrane feels like a sock. Therefore, it offers very good mobility and extensive weather protection. Zero overlap and no Velcro straps, so that foot and ankle can move freely.

S.L.W.2 SYSTEM CLOSURE:
The speed lace system closure provides perfect support for your feet, is functional and fast to use: Simply open and close the shoe with a flick of the wrist. A large dial allows for precise tensioning of the wires. The shoes can be fully opened at once or step by step. For gradual release, you can push the little lever at the dial and for full release, you can lift the lever.

ARCTIC 4LAYER:
Insole with EVA + Aluminium and EVA + Pile for optimal insulation.

LASTING BOARD THERMAL SHIELD:
The LBTS stands out for its two-layer construction with aluminium and EVA foam for efficient insulation. The material and layered construction build a perfect barrier against the cold.
