The abrasion protection elements are either fitted to the QL 1 semi-elliptical rail or to the QL2 elliptical rail. In this way, the rack tube is not in contact with the hard plastic of the ellipses but with the soft plastic elements of the abrasion protection.

Nachdem wir sie passend zugeschnitten und mit etwas Mühe in der Schiene platziert hatten, haben Sie genau das getan was Sie sollten. Nämlich Kratzer am Gepäckträger verhindert.
