Wide platforms ensure a comfortable change of positions.
Fully sealed bearings and CrMo axles provide high durability and round off the concave shaped pedals. The platforms are made from resistant 6061 aluminium.

Habe nun auch für meine Frau ein Paar RaceFace Atlas Pedale gekauft (das erste Paar nicht hier). Beim ersten Paar war nur eine Achse gefettet, bei diesem Paar nun keine der beiden Achsen. Da ich aus Erfahrung schon vorgewarnt war, habe ich vor der Montage ans Bike die Neuen geprüft. Diese beiden neuen waren ungefettet. Im ReBuild Video des Herstellers wird sogar direkt gezeigt das die Achsen Fett benötigen. Trockene Pedale nehmen an Lagern und Achse natürlich Schaden wenn sie ungefettet genutzt werden. Diese Qualität bei so einem Produkt in diesen Preisbereich ist nicht akzeptabel. Deswegen nur 2 Sterne. Wer das nicht weiss oder entsprechende Schrauberfähigkeiten nicht hat, wird die Pedale ungefettet ans Bike schrauben und bald einen Schaden an den Pedalen haben.

Wenn so montiert wie im Hersteller Video, dann sind sie natürlich top. Auch die Wartung ist sehr leicht. Vor allem mit dem originalen Service Kit (wenn auch nicht günstig). Vielleicht einmal das Kit kaufen und dann die nächsten Lager beim Lagerspezialisten.

Mein Lieblingspedal auf dem MTB.
Besonderheit ist hier das transparente Gefühl für Pedalgripp.
Auf der anderen Seite ist das Atlas in der Anschaffung und Instandsetzung nicht günstig .
