The Apex 1 groupset is SRAM's entry-level group for gravel enthusiasts. It is equipped with popular technological features from SRAM. This gravel bike is furnished with a 1-speed drive system consisting of an 11-42 cassette and a 42 chainring. So you’ll get 1x11 gears in larger steps – ideal for getting in the flow while off-roading or riding local trails.
Wide wheels and gravel tyres
This bike is equipped with robust, lightweight ROSE G TWENTYFIVE gravel wheels, as well as with high-quality Newman hubs and lightweight, stable Sapim spokes. With their wider inner rim width of 25 mm, they increase the contact area of the WTB gravel tyres and thus provide more grip on rough terrain. The tyre profile has sturdy shoulder lugs – for ideal off-road qualities.
With the BACKROAD AL APEX 1X11 you can really push your limits! It is equipped with SRAM's entry-level shifting group and 1-speed drivetrain, as well as robust and off-road-ready ROSE G TWENTYFIVE gravel wheels encased in WTB gravel tyres. You’ll also be more comfortable with the gravel handlebar’s anatomically-shaped lower bends. Design des Hinterbaus schlecht, man bleibt oft mit der Ferse am Rahmen hängen. Schaltung nicht eingestellt, musste nochmal Geld in die Hand genommen werden. Bei dem Preis erwarte ich etwas anderes.

Tolles Fahrrad.
Ein paar Kleinigkeiten könnten noch besser sein: Die Scheibenbremsen vorne hat geschliffen. Die musste ich noch gut einstellen. Es hatte ein sehr kleiner Lackschaden.

My experience with Rose bikes has been very bad. I bet on buying a Rose gravel with the full expectation that I was investing in the best quality and attention. And this, despite the fact that I knew that I would have to wait for my bike for months due to stock problems.
After 5 months of waiting, my Backroad AL bike arrived with noticeable quality issues that are hard to miss. First, after tightening, the front wheel is tilted >5mm to the side at the fork (not dishing but the fork). Second, the grip tape on the left side of the handlebar arrived damaged at the tip.
I am totally disappointed with the quality of Rose bikes. Again, these flaws are notable which indicates that Rose's bar of quality is crap. I regret having bought by this brand.

Ich weiß nicht, ob es daran liegt, dass es das erste Gravelbike in dieser Qualitätsklasse ist, aber ich liebe es. Ich komme eher aus dem Bereich Enduro/Freeride MTB und wäre da nie bei Rose gelandet, aber dieses Gravelbike hat sich innerhalb weniger Wochen zum meist gefahrenen Modell meines Fuhrparks entwickelt, einfach weil es das Beste zweier Welten kombiniert. Klar mache ich damit keine Sprünge wie mit dem Freeride Downhillbike, aber ich nehme schon auch mal ein paar Trails mit dem Gravelbike mit und bin im Gelände unterwegs und trotzdem auf der Straße und auf Feldwegen sehr schnell.

Super Rad.
Aber leider nach 500 Knacken im Tretlager, ausgebaut, vermutlich falsch eingepresst, eine Seite in die Hülse gepresst. Nach dem ich dieses gewechselt habe keine Probleme mehr bin super Happy 😊

Das Fahrrad macht Spaß - wenn es denn fährt !!!
7 Wochen konnte ich wegen der Auswechselung der Sattelstütze in der Hauptsaison nicht fahren. Weiterhin bisher drei Mal ein platter Reifen beim Fahren durch Schotter (tatsächlich sehr traurig bei einem 2000 € teurem Gravel- (=Schotter !!!) Bike.
