The Schwalbe Marathon Supreme of the second generation comes with the OneStar rubber compound derived from racing, which makes the tyre even more smooth-running and fast, without losing grip. The changed profile structure not only improves the tyre's look, but also lets it roll even more smoothly. The HD-Speed Guard provides a high level of puncture protection, without adding unnecessary weight to the tyre.

Nach 2.000km vorne und hinten: keine Platten, keine Risse, keine Probleme.
Verhältnismäßig guter Grip auf Kies und nasser Straße.
Einfache Montage, gutes Abrollverhalten, nicht zu laut. Ich bin zufrieden!

Top-Reifen in jeder Hinsicht. Nur die Fertigungstoleranzen sind gewichtsmäßig etwas hoch. Habe mir 4 Stück bestellt und auf die Küchenwaage gelegt. Statt der angegebenen 440gr bei 37-622 waren es 429, 496, 476 und 463 Gramm.
Bei den hervorragenden Laufeigenschaften aber nicht so schlimm.

Laufeigenschaften absolut top. Fahre den Reifen auf 13c Rodi Airline Evo Felgen, was nach ETRTO eigentlich nicht zulässig ist. (Auf 13c Felge max. 25mm breite Reifen) Die Felgen sind nach Herstellerangabe aber bis 45 mm Reifenbreite geeignet. Auch nach der Kesseldruck-Formel ist die Belastung der Felge mit 37er Reifen bei 6 bar geringer als bei 25er Reifen mit den max. zulässigen 9 bar für die Felge. Also gibt es hier keine Bedenken.
Die Reifen sind auf der Felge eher rund, als u-förmig. Das macht das Fahrverhalten agiler und sehr komfortabel. Bei der alten Kombination 18c Felge mit 32er Marathon Plus Reifen kamen die Stöße von Querfugen an Brücken, Gullideckeln usw. so hart durch, dass sie mir fast den Lenker aus der Hand geschlagen haben. Hat man mal nicht ausgepasst und so einen Schlag direkt ins Handgelenk bekommen, war das schon schmerzhaft. Nicht so mit dem Supreme. Die Schläge werden hervorragend abgefedert anstatt dass sie das halbe Fahrrad in die Luft katapultieren. Keine schmerzenden Handgelenke mehr. Der Hammer sind aber die Leichtlauf-Eigenschaften. Die Reifen sind viel viel schneller als die Marathon Plus. Bin restlos begeistert.
