Highlights & Technologies:

STRETCH:
The material’s high elasticity is achieved through a high percentage of elastane or through a special knitting / weaving technology. The elasticity of the material increases comfort, performance and freedom of movement.

MASS BALANCE:
Quite an accomplishment, for you and the planet! Using a mass balance method, VAUDE’s material is climate-friendly, high-performance and helps reduce waste caused by used tyres: VAUDE uses a technology that derives oil from plastics that are difficult to recycle and feeds it into the polyamide production system, using a certified mass balance process. The sustainable polyamide produced in this way is just as high-performance as conventional polyamide, but reduces CO² emissions during production by approx. 60%!

ECO FINISH:
VAUDE products with ECO FINISH are water-resistant and yet produced in an environmentally-friendly way without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFC is a group of chemicals used to make the outer fabric of products waterproof.

WOMENS ACTIVE CYCLING:
The 8 mm thick seat pad is specifically designed for women and for use on short distances. It consists of a shock-absorbing foam layer with open-pore foam for best cushioning and improved breathability. As the pad’s elastic and seamless design is perfectly adapted to the female anatomy, it offers high comfort.

GREEN SHAPE:
VAUDE's quality seal for products that are produced in a particularly environmentally-friendly way. As there is no worldwide standard for the assessment of organic products, VAUDE has developed their own rating system for environmentally friendly outdoor products with strictest criteria. GREEN SHAPE labelled products are made from sustainable materials and with resource-conserving production methods. The criteria are not only strict but also continuously reviewed and involve the entire product lifecycle, ranging from development through to product care and recycling after use. The aim of this rating system is to minimize the environmental impact.

GRÜNER KNOPF (“GREEN BUTTON”):
The German textile seal “Grüner Knopf” (Green Button) identifies textiles that meet high social and environmental standards. 26 social and ecological criteria are considered for each product. The companies must prove their human rights, social and ecological responsibilities.

UPF 50+:

Excellent UV protection so that you can fully enjoy cycling in the sun. Fabrics that are labelled UPF 50+ allow less than 2% UV transmission. The protection factor is achieved through special fibres, a special weave, material thickness or through an integrated protective titanium dioxide layer. Titanium dioxide is environmentally friendly and has been rated by the EU as harmless.
