Sustainable, seam-reduced, redefined

Ever suffered through a bike tour with chafing seams? Ridden ten kilometres and felt like your chamois had completely disappeared? With the VAUDE LesSeam Shirt and SQlab Innershorts, your next tour is guaranteed to be a pleasure. With the LesSeam Collection, VAUDE introduces an innovative bike duo that redefines the classic layering theory for functional clothing.

LesSeam is a play on the words ‘less’ and ‘seams’. VAUDE manufactures LesSeam shirts and liner shorts with a special knitting process to reduce the number of seams to a minimum. This eliminates bulky seams and chafing. A sustainable side effect of the knit production: The process eliminates all die-cut remnants which conserves materials. A variety of knit zones ensure that body moisture can evaporate quickly outward, an open, mesh-like knit at the back provides excellent ventilation.

However, the LesSeam models aren’t just a classic base layer. Thanks to their attractive design and bold colours, they can also be worn as outerwear. Whether worn layered or solo — the LesSeam shirt offers female and male cyclists a comfortably soft and dry microclimate for all riding situations and feels like a second skin.

The main fabric of the LesSeam models consists of 80% recycled polyamide – the production is carried out by European producers and meets the bluesign® criteria, which guarantees exceptional skin-friendliness. The SQLab LesSeam shorts are manufactured using the same resource-saving knit process.

The pants are fitted with a Pro Tour seat pad from the ergonomic specialist SQlab. The pad is specifically designed for comfort-oriented mountain bikers and sporty cycle tourers who prefer an upright riding position to offer additional comfort on long distances. Featuring a thin gel layer on the sit bones, the pad absorbs natural vibrations and distributes pressure over the entire surface of the saddle. This significantly reduces irritation of the periosteum compared to conventional pads.
