Cane Creek HCR Headset Tapered IS52/28.6/H7 | IS52/40

A clean cockpit where adjustments, maintenance and transport still remain simple? This is exactly where Cane Creek comes in with the HCR system. HCR stands for Hidden Cable Routing. The cables and hoses disappear into a channel under the stem and are guided through the matching spacers to the headset.

Because the brake hoses are not completely enclosed, you can change the spacer setup or replace individual parts of the system without disconnecting the brake hoses. This facilitates subsequent fit adjustments and service work on the cockpit as well as transport of bike bags.

The Cane Creek HCR tapered headset IS52/28.6/H7 | IS52/40 guides the brake hoses into the head tube and protects the bearings from water and dirt with an extensive sealing system. A special cable seal engages with the top cover and is supplemented by further seals on the steerer tube, bearing and crown race.

In this integrated IS version, the stainless steel bearings of the Cane Creek Hellbender series sit directly in the frame's designated bearing seats. Separate bearing cups are not required. The headset fits frames with 52 mm bearing seats at the top and bottom as well as tapered steerer tubes from 1 1/8" to 1.5".
