Maurten Gel Mix 480

With 120 g of carbohydrates per serving, the Maurten Gel Mix 480 is designed for long training sessions and competitions. The powder is mixed with 200 ml of water and takes on a novel consistency: thicker than the Maurten Drink Mix, but more fluid than the ready-to-use Maurten Gels. This allows you to carry a large amount of carbohydrates compactly in a soft flask and dose them as needed on the go. Especially during intense sessions, the consistency makes it easier to consume carbohydrates without having to eat solid food or take multiple gels.

To ensure the Gel Mix is easy to consume on the go, the hydrogel only forms upon contact with stomach acid. There, it encapsulates the carbohydrates and transports them through the stomach into the intestine, where they are absorbed.

Hydrogel technology: Maurten Hydrogel technology is based on the natural ingredients alginate (algae) and pectin (fruit fibres). The hydrogel structure encapsulates carbohydrates and salt and transports them through the stomach to the intestine, where the hydrogel dissolves and the carbohydrates can be absorbed as optimally as possible. Maurten Hydrogel technology manages without unnecessary additives such as colourings, preservatives or artificial flavourings.
