Maxxis Rekon EXO PERFORMANCE COMPOUND MTB Clincher Tyre

The MAXXIS Rekon combines fast rolling behaviour with plenty of volume and additional damping. It is designed for versatile use between trail and all-mountain. The tread pattern is designed for dry to loose surfaces and promises a good balance of traction, control and efficiency.

The flat centre knobs support easy rolling on hardpack and forest trails, while more pronounced side knobs offer additional grip in bends and technical terrain. Thanks to the combination of an efficient rolling centre tread and controlled cornering, the Rekon is suitable for both front and rear use.

In this version, the Rekon combines EXO Protection with the MAXXIS Performance Compound [MPC] for trail and all-mountain use with a focus on balanced performance, durability and control. The MAXXIS Performance Compound [MPC] is designed to offer particularly good value for money. The tube-type construction aims at all riders using an inner tube.

• EXO PROTECTION
EXO Protection is an extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant protective layer on the sidewall of selected MTB, Gravel and Metro tyres from MAXXIS. The tightly woven material is designed to be both light and flexible, so that the performance of the tyres is affected as little as possible.

• MAXXIS PERFORMANCE COMPOUND [MPC]
The MAXXIS Performance Compound [MPC] is used in selected MAXXIS mountain bike and gravel tyres. The rubber compound is designed for a balanced ratio of grip, durability and rolling behaviour and is intended to offer particularly good value for money.
