Sneak Plus EQ Shift MidStep

The Rose Sneak Plus EQ Shift HighStep is available in frame sizes S to L, the MidStep in sizes S and M. Which size is suitable for you depends primarily on your body height.
You can find a specific size recommendation directly in the selection field for the frame size. Additionally, you can check the information in the frame geometry table.

If you are between two sizes, you will sit in a more sporty, compact and bent forward position on the smaller frame, and the handling will tend to be more agile. A larger frame, on the other hand, provides a smoother ride and you will sit slightly more upright and stretched out. Most riders tend to choose the smaller frame, but personal preferences and body proportions vary greatly. To be sure, arrange a test ride at your nearest Rose store. Alternatively, the Rose customer service can also help you with your size decision.

When the system is switched on, the front and rear lighting of the Sneak Plus EQ Shift activates automatically.
To switch it off, hold down the bottom button on the handlebar remote for about two seconds. You switch the lighting back on the same way.
Important: When the lighting is switched off, the signal light does not work either.

The delivery costs for the Sneak Plus EQ Shift are currently 49.95 euros* for deliveries to Germany and Austria. You can find details and costs for other countries on the Rose shipping costs page. When collecting from a store, your bike is already assembled for you and you will receive a detailed introduction. This service currently costs 99.00 euros*.

A 30-day returns policy applies to the Rose Sneak Plus EQ Shift, and in the event of damage, the statutory warranty of two years applies. In addition, Rose offers a 6-year crash replacement service for frames, forks and wheels. This means that in the event of accident damage, you will receive a comparable replacement for 50 per cent of the retail price.

You can have your Rose Sneak Plus EQ Shift repaired or take it for a service at your nearest Rose store or at a certified Rose service partner. Typical maintenance work can often also be carried out by independent specialist workshops. You can find help for self-repair online on the Rose support pages.

The luggage rack of the Rose Sneak Plus EQ Shift can be loaded with up to 8 kg per side. When choosing panniers, ensure that they are suitable for luggage rack struts with a tube diameter of 8 mm.
Use only accessories that can be securely attached to the luggage rack and do not exceed the permitted load.

With the integrated 250 Wh battery, the Sneak Plus EQ Shift achieves a range of up to 90 km. Thanks to the low weight, you can also travel quickly without motor assistance.
A 170 Wh range extender is available for additional motor assistance. It is attached to the frame like a water bottle and enables up to 55 km more range – ideal for longer journeys, without having to carry it permanently. Due to the frame geometry, the Range Extender is not compatible with the MidStep model.
The actual range depends on, among other things, the following factors:

• Selected assistance level
• Inclines
• Ground and wind conditions
• Rider’s weight and luggage
• Temperature
• Tyres and tyre pressure

The battery of the Sneak Plus EQ Shift charges to 80 % in less than two hours with the supplied Mahle Active Charger. A full charge takes about three hours. As soon as the Mahle Active Charger lights up green, the battery is charged.
To charge, connect the charger to the charging port above the bottom bracket. The charging process starts automatically. You can read the current charge level on the battery level indicator of the Head Unit in the top tube.

The battery of the Sneak Plus EQ Shift is firmly integrated into the frame and is not intended for regular removal. It can only be removed for replacement.
As the crank and bottom bracket must be dismantled for this, the battery replacement should only be carried out by trained bicycle mechanics.

With the Mahle MySmartBike App, you can configure the drive system of the Sneak Plus EQ Shift, view system data and analyse your rides. The app also serves as a bike computer and is required to activate and individually adjust the Smart Mode.
With the Mahle MySmartBike App, you can individually configure your Sneak Plus EQ Shift, retrieve ride data and install system updates. The most important functions include:

• Adjust motor assistance: Configure motor mapping and assistance levels according to personal preferences.
• Display system and tour data: Retrieve battery level, motor assistance level, speed, distance, cadence and power.
• Install system updates: Install updates directly via the app.
• Synchronise rides: Synchronise tour data and routes with, for example, Strava.
• Pair sensors: Connect a heart rate chest strap, Apple Watch, etc.
• Display last bike location: Retrieve the last recorded location of the bike when the smartphone connection is active.

Yes. With the free Mahle MySmartBike app for iOS and Android, you can individually adjust the three assistance levels of the Sneak Plus EQ Shift. The parameters peak performance, acceleration and reactivity are available for this purpose. You can restore the default settings at any time.
The Smart Mode, which can be activated via the app, can also be configured percentage-based. This allows you to determine how much motor assistance the Sneak Plus EQ Shift provides.
