Brake Levers

Bike brake levers for MTBs, road bikes, city and touring bikes

Bicycle brake levers for different types of brakes, including V-brakes, disc brakes and hydraulic brakes

Brake levers are fixed at the handlebar and allow a rider to operate the brakes of a bicycle. Cable pulls or hydraulic cables are fastened at the brake lever and cause the deceleration. Brake levers come in many different models and price classes. They are classified according to the bike type (racing bike, trekking bike, mountain bike etc.) and to the brake type (V-brake, hydraulic brake etc.) used on the bike. Brake levers should always be adapted to the brake type. Very strong brakes need short levers, weaker brakes need longer levers to support the braking effect.
