The EQUIPE RS WINTER S9 BIB TIGHTS from ASSOS are the successor to the iconic Bonkas and have been further developed in terms of protection, stability, and weight. These men’s bike tights are the ideal winter shield that will draw you out onto the streets on even the coldest of winter days with the reliable insulation and warmth storage of the two-layer SPHERE ULTRA, with a membrane, and brushed OSMOS HEAVY. At your back is the thicker SPHERE MEDIUM material. The tried and tested A-LOCK ENGINEERING technology has been transferred to these bib tights. This support system evenly encases your legs and offers your leg muscles the advantages of light compression. The bib tights also keep padding in place thanks to the ERGOBOX embroidery pattern and ROLLBAR straps, so your seat is always well-protected even if you move out of the saddle or shift your weight during an intensive training session or race.

Highlights & Technologies:

OSMOS HEAVY:
This fabric is the most heavily brushed material of the Osmos product family (approx, 290 g/m²), featuring asymmetric stretch and a soft, robust structure. The brushed inside provides a high level of insulation.

SPHERE ULTRA:
The two-layer design of the front crotch panel offers added insulation. Two-layer, windproof, water-resistant and breathable two-way stretch softshell material with sealed PU membrane for increased insulation and reduced weight. Breathability: MVTR 40.000 g/m²/24 h; Waterproof rating: > 10.000 mm

SPHERE Medium:
The thickest version from SPHERE, used for the upper back section, is a patented three-layer windproof and highly breathable woven softshell material with a sealed PU membrane for additional water-repellent properties.

A-LOCK:
The A-LOCK ENGINEERING system combines materials and technologies that help stabilise the cycling shorts and prevent the seat pad from slipping. These technologies include the ROLLBAR design for flexible straps and the ERGOBOX framework for more pad stability.

aeroFit:
The slimmest fit from ASSOS, especially designed to handle top speeds and have a tighter fit than racingFit, which offers a higher level of compression. When not in the riding position, it can feel a bit tight, but while cycling it is like a second skin.

ROLLBAR:
A unique design inspired by a stabilizer of a race car holds the padded insert in place and compensates for weight shifting while cornering. This is because the straps are attached to the trousers on the lower torso close to the seat pad and on the lower back – thus, the straps allow for high flexibility while cornering.

GOLDENGATE:
Thanks to the GOLDENGATE process, where the seat pad is only sewn on the pad at some edges, offers increased freedom of movement while following all your movements. This reduces friction caused by seams and increases comfort.

EQUIPE RS seat pad:
Compared to other Equipe Evo designs, the platform of this pad is smaller to save weight. A patented, central knit stitch secures the backside of the pad to the outer fabric and thus reduces slipping while riding. The antibacterial microfibre coating in grey 3D basalt is an homage to the volcanic rock that gives ASSOS power, stability and courage. A light, open-pore, three-layer superAir microShock 3D waffle foam increases breathability and eliminates unnecessary weight. The shock-absorbing foam quickly returns to its original shape and fills the gap every time your pedalling position is changed through the shift of weight. A central seam secures the backside of the pad to the outer fabric to eliminate the pad from slipping during the ride.

ERGOBOX:
A square pattern construction that effectively frames the insert in the back, boxing it in for added stability.
