Took me 2 hours to put this on one of my bicycles. The instructions are not helpful. Why can you not supply a bracket to attach it to the downtube? That would make it much easier to assemble. Would not recommend.
There is a youtube video that shows how a similar product is assembled, which is of some help. Video could be a lot better showing how to make up the bracket. I had to watch the video multiple times to try and see how the bracket is assembled and positioned on the down tube.

Eine sehr gute Erfindung. Wie oft war mir mein Fahrrad umgefallen, und Vorderteil ist dabei um 180 Grad nach hinten umgedreht. Das war ein scheußlicher Anblick. Jetzt ist schluß damit. habe den Hebie an zwei Rädern montiert. Einfach unentbehrlich. Ehrlich.

Ich weiß nicht, was für manche so schwer ist, dieses Teil mit den 2 Schräubchen zusammenzubauen und anzubringen. Das hat bei mir keine 10 min gedauert.
Hatte schon an meinem alten Reiserad einen Hebie Lenkungsdämpfer dran. Ich finde die Konstruktion ebenso simpel wie clever. Es wird verhindert, dass der Lenker bei Verwendung von Frontrollern umschlägt.

Ich habe seit mindestens 10 Jahren an verschiedenen Rädern die Lenkungsdämpfer Hebie 695 und 696 mit und ohne Konus für Federgabeln in
Benutzung. Wenn man richtig montiert (siehe Video in Youtube), hat man auf
Radtouren mit Lenkertasche und/oder Seitentaschen am Low Rider Vorderradträger echt was davon. Leider ist bei meinem neuesten 696 der Metallhaken aus dem Elastomer herausgezogen worden. Ich würde daher den 695 bevorzugen, auch wenn er im Laufe der Zeit nervige Geräusche abgeben kann, zumal man die Feder und andere Bestandteile einzeln nachkaufen kann.

Absolut unbrauchbar bei Verwendung mit Federgabel und gleichzeitiger Schutzblechmontage. Das Teil lockert permanent die Schraube, die gelichzeitig Fixierung für das Schutzblech und Lenkungsdämpfer ist. Ich habe das Teil nach kurzer Zeit wieder demontiert. Ich würde das nächste Mal einen Lenkungsdämpfer mit Konusmontage im Gabelschaft nehmen. Allerding habe ich erst mal die Schnauze voll, denn die Monatge war nicht ganz unfummelig, und wer weiss, ob die Variante für den Gabelschaft tatsächlich tut, was sie soll?

Dit product is een tegenvaller om eerlijk te zijn. Besteld om het stuur van een moederfiets (met kind voor en achter) stabiel te houden bij het installeren van de kinderen.

De bevestiging op de onderbuis is echter niet goed. Door de trekkracht van de veer schuift de bevestiging naar boven en laat de veer uiteindelijk los. Bovendien werkt deze bevestiging met een schroefje die je in de buis draait. Dat zorgt voor schade aan het frame.

Geen aanrader in mijn ervaring.

Prompt delivery, good product. Some difficulty with the attaching the hex bolt holding the plastic block to the down tube. The rectangle nut on the other side of the plastic block could be better designed to receive the hex bolt. I purchased this steering damper to stop the front wheel moving much when the bicycle is on the centre stand. This Hebie 695 does that well. I recommend others buy it.
