This provides a solid mount for the Hebie or similar towbar. Take care to clean the seatpost before fitting to prevent any side-side slippage. It's a shame towbars are not more often supplied with this part as standard, as (certainly here in the UK) it's unusual to buy a bicycle with a seatpost clamp suitable to fit the towbar alone without this adapter.
