The Park Tool LRT-1 lockring tool is designed to loosen or tighten the chainring lockring on Bosch® e-bike motors of the second generation (see compatibility). Letting you replace worn out chainrings in time, treat your e-bike to a new gearing or access the motor or bottom bracket. The lockring tool has a 3/8”square drive, so you can easily operate it with a suitable, large torque wrench.
Details:
• Lockring tool with 8 notches and Ø 50 mm for Bosch® pedelec drive units of the 2nd generation
• Replacement for Bosch® 0275009003 tool
• Compatibility: Bosch® Active Line Gen. 2 (chainrings with fewer than 20 teeth), Bosch® Performance Line and Performance Line CX models (Gen. 2)
• Suitable for lockrings with 8 notches and 50 mm outer diameter
Specs:
• Material: heat-treated steel 4140, coated
• Number of notches 8
• Diameter: Ø 50 mm
• Tool mount: 3/8" square drive (for ratchet wrenches)
In the box:
• 1 Park Tool LRT-1 Lockring Tool for Bosch® Gen. 2
Note:
Please note that the lockring has a left-hand thread, so you’ll need to turn the wrench clockwise to loosen. When installing, a torque of 20 - 25 nM is necessary. To achieve this, use a compatible torque wrench with a 3/8” square drive. Also, be aware that before the lockring can be removed, the crank arm must first be disassembled. For this a suitable crank puller, such as the Park Tool CWP-7 (product code: 2254444), is required.
Tip:
Make loosening and tightening the lockring easier by using a chain whip, such as the Park Tool SR-2.3, which is available under product code 2289508.
