FLOCUS:
This is a functional material that is obtained from kapok trees. One of the regenerative properties of the kapok trees is that they need no additional irrigation, no pesticides and no fertiliser. They can grow on hills in a biodiverse environment, as well as on land that is not suitable for agricultural purposes – resulting in a 100% positive impact on the environment. The biodegradable kapok fruit is also not considered a source of food. The natural functional properties of kapok include moisture transport, antibacterial effect, optimised thermoregulation and a soft feel.
