The SHIMANO DEORE RD-M8250 XT rear derailleur features the company's own wireless Di2 shifting technology and an automatic Impact Recovery function.
 
The flat, wedge-shaped design of the XT rear derailleur reduces stone chips and impacts on the trail through its shape alone. And if an impact does occur, the rear derailleur can slide off obstacles on the trail thanks to the smooth outer coating and thus prevent damage.
The automatic Impact Recovery function immediately returns the derailleur motor to its original position after an impact, while the wide link structure, robust aluminium cage and solid pulley wheels ensure robustness and durability.
The SHIMANO XT RD-M8250 rear derailleur is available with a medium and long cage.

Medium-length cage (RD-M8250-GS): 
Optimised for shock resistance, the RD-M8250-GS rear derailleur with medium-length cage, combined with the 9 – 45 tooth cassette, is an excellent choice for both top enduro athletes and XC racers who care about the weight. 
 
Long cage (RD-M8250-SGS): 
Speed paired with range; the RD-M8250-SGS rear derailleur with long cage is designed to be combined with the 10 – 51 tooth cassette. It easily withstands hard impacts on the trail and scores with lightning-fast shifting speed and top performance.
