Details

A new safety class with five edges. Compared to its predecessors, the Cycle Star E rear view mirror comes with a larger mirror surface thanks to a pentagonal shape. This means you can look back to friends and other bikers more comfortably. Another great feature is the protective soft component that frames the rear view mirror that can also be used on e-bikes. As the Cycle Star E is designed for high safety, it also simply folds down in case of an impact. This not only protects the rear view mirror, but also prevents injuries through flying shards. In most cases, you can fold out the mirror again after a fall and continue riding.

Dies ist der zweite Spiegel, den ich gekauft habe. Wenn man/frau dieses macht, dann ist alles gesagt. Hervorragend.

Für mich ist der Spiegel ungeeignet, da er, im Gegensatz zu dem runden Modell, während der Fahrt zu stark vibriert.

Ausrichtung: Der Kugelkopf könnte meiner Meinung nach etwas strammer sitzen, etwa wie ein Motorradspiegel. Er verstellt sich zwar nicht bei Holperpflaster, ist aber bei geringster Berührung sofort verstellt. Nach etwa 1,5 Jahren zeigt der Spiegelkörper (Gehäuse) drei feine Risse. Zur zeit ohne Funktionsbeeinträchtigung. Ob der irgendwann zerfällt bleibt abzuwarten.

Gutes Blickfeld. Vibrationen des Fahrrades übertragen sich Dank des eher wackeligen Kunststoffarmes zu stark auf den Spiegel - der M-88 ist ganz aus Alu, damit stabiler, besser, billiger! Auch die beigelegte Halterung zur Befestigung des Spiegels wirkt wenig wertig.

Gute Verarbeituzng und wirklich große Spiegelfläche mit einwandfreier optischer Beschaffenheit. Vor allem aber kaum Vibrationen, die ich bei vergleichbaren Spiegeln anderer Hersteller leider bemängeln musste. Der CYCLE STAR ist empfehlenswert, wenn auch der Innenlenker-Adapter etwas schlicht gestaltet ist - hält aber dennoch den Spiegel an seinem Platz. Gäbe es diese kleine Einschränkung nicht, hätte ich 5 Sterne angeklickt ;-)
