The crucial question in cycle sport. The running properties of a tyre’s rubber compound largely depend on static friction (grip), mileage and rolling resistance. The BlackChili Compound is perfectly adapted to the specific purpose. For the production of BlackChili, Continental combines synthetic rubber with proven, natural rubber to get high-performance centre tread compounds. Mixed with soot particles for optimised shape and surface properties, you get the perfect compound for your cross/gravel adventures.
The ProTection technology offers the perfect combination of smooth running, grip and puncture resistance. A puncture protection layer around the tyre makes it especially hard-wearing. Despite the additional layer, the tyre offers very good damping properties and irons out even roughest terrain.
The Tubeless Ready base allows for easy tyre installation and provides a perfect seal. For best results regarding sealing and performance, we recommend you to use Continental RevoSealant (product code: 2255637).
