The very long history of the successful Rubino road bike tyre by Vittoria is characterised by consequent further development and facelifts – and with the Rubino Pro G2.0, the popular all-round folding tyre from Italy now goes into the next generation.

Thanks to outstanding riding characteristics, the fast Rubino Pro road bike tyre that is designed for various weather and road conditions has already gained a lot of respect. The current version comes with an improved rubber compound called GRAPHENE 2.0. In combination with the proven 3C layering process where three separate rubber compounds are used for the centre tread, the Rubino Pro G2.0 particularly sets new standards in comfort, rolling resistance, grip and wear resistance. In addition, the tyre offers excellent puncture resistance through a thin layer of densely woven aramid fibres which provide good protection from splinters, thorns and glass.

Ich bin jetzt schon einige hundert Kilometer mit den Reifen gefahren und war immer pannenfrei und sicher unterwegs. Auch Schotterstrecken, die ich täglich fahre funktionieren gut und ohne Schaden. Auch das Fahrgefühl ist top. Kann man auf jeden Fall kaufen.

Reçu cette semaine pour un montage en tubetype sur des Mavic Aksium, le montage a été assez facile (contrairement à certains avis que j'ai pu lire, mais peut-être qu'ils sont taillés pour les Mavic). J'aurais bien voulu les tester un peu au roulage, mais ça y'est on est de nouveau en confinement...va falloir attendre. Je reviendrai compléter dés que j'aurais pu rouler avec..

Der Nachfolger des Vittoria Rubino Pro (made in Italy), der zig tausende Kilometer bei mir Pannenfrei gelaufen ist, der Vittoria Rubino Pro G2.0 (made in Thailand), ist bereits nach ein paar hundert Kilometern durchs Sauerland nach Aachen und von dort bis Bonn und zurück Richtung Köln durch Glasscherben durchstochen. Der Reifen ist zwar relativ leicht und hat sehr gutes Kurvenfahrverhalten, aber der Pannenschutzstreifen ist sehr schmal, wodurch bereits nach anderthalb Wochen die erste Panne aufgetreten ist.

Graphene interacts with rubber by filling the space in between the rubber molecules. This is to increase all positive performance metrics of a tyre. Unlike the first-generation GRAPHENE, the new 2.0 GRAPHENE is intended to enhance tyre performance. In other words: The first generation of GRAPHENE compounds has already set the bar high, GRAPHENE 2.0 however takes the performance of Vittoria tyres to a whole new level. The Italian manufacturer is now able to process graphene in a way that leads to increased performance, especially with regards to speed, wet grip, durability and puncture resistance.
