Schwalbe MAGIC MARY GRAVITY PRO Radial MTB Folding Tyre ULTRA SOFT

The Schwalbe MAGIC MARY mountain bike tyre is designed for demanding downhill, enduro and trail use. Its aggressive, open tread pattern with pronounced shoulder lugs ensures reliable braking traction and stable cornering grip even on changing and demanding surfaces. This makes the tyre suitable for a variety of different trail conditions, from loose surfaces to technically demanding trails.

This version is based on the ULTRA SOFT compound. The rubber compound was specially developed for demanding enduro and downhill use and offers particularly high damping properties as well as improved wet grip for maximum grip even in difficult conditions.

The rubber compound is complemented by Schwalbe's GRAVITY PRO Radial construction. Multiple carcass layers under the tread and on the sidewall, fabric-reinforced apex puncture protection and additional sidewall and burping protection ensure reliability under high loads in gravity use. With the radial carcass, the carcass threads run at a more obtuse angle than with conventional cross-ply tyres. This allows the tyre to deform more flexibly and adapt better to the surface. At the same time, the contact area is increased by up to 30 % at the same air pressure, which should contribute to more grip and damping.

The intermediate tread pattern with aggressively arranged lugs is designed for a wide range of track conditions and in this version is matched to the properties of the radial carcass. Concise V-grooves in the individual lugs improve grip on the ground, while bevelled centre lugs support the rolling behaviour.

Tip:
With its gripping tread pattern, the Schwalbe MAGIC MARY can be used on either the front or rear wheel. If you are looking for a tyre combination with somewhat less rolling resistance, Schwalbe recommends combining the MAGIC MARY on the front wheel with a corresponding version of the ALBERT or TACKY CHAN on the rear wheel.
