Whether on asphalt or an unpaved road, the versatile Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tour tyre is at home on all trails. In everyday life or on a long tour. The robust construction with typical marathon puncture protection qualities can cope with almost anything. For the 2023 model year, Schwalbe is presenting its durable all-rounder with an improved tread design, new rubber compound and a "normal" as well as an optimised construction for e-bikes.

The Tour version is a true all-rounder and the distinctive tread design is optimally adapted to modern hybrid bikes, SUV and e-bikes. Thanks to the voluminous centre blocks, the tyre rolls smoothly and the supported shoulder lugs give additional grip on unpaved surfaces. Short shopping trips, daily commutes or extended cycling tours in light to medium terrain – the Marathon Plus Tour is characterised by its wide range of uses, as well as its increased puncture protection. The SmartGuard® carcass construction has a five millimetre thick special rubber insert that makes the trekking tyre almost "unflattenable", even when you ride over a push pin. The Addix compound also guarantees high mileage and ideal, grip even on unpaved roads.

Schwalbe has an added plus with these large-volume tyre sizes: The wide tyres, which are popular with e-bikes, have been equipped with the Smart DualGuard construction from the Marathon E-Plus series. The two additional fabric inserts under the tread and three-layer sidewalls are designed to handle increased loads on e-bikes. Plus, the Addix-E compound is also used, which is tuned for higher speeds and mileage. This way the trekking tyre becomes even more load-bearing, even more resistant to defects, even more durable.
