Racing vibes for your gravel bike: With the one-piece carbon cockpit of the BACKROAD FF, ROSE provides the right answer to ever faster, ever more professional gravel races – and the question of how gravel and aero can be combined. 'Aero in the hoods, control in the drops' is the motto in a nutshell. In other words: Narrow and aerodynamic in the upper grip areas and with flared lower handlebars for technical descents.
The ROSE one-piece gravel cockpit follows the trend towards narrower handlebar widths in favour of aerodynamics. This is particularly advantageous in the low race position – with the hoods gripped far forward and the forearms supported. Popular with breakaway riders in bike races, the aerodynamic position is noticeably more comfortable thanks to the flattened area on the bar top. The -10° steep stem also improves the airflow at the front, as tests in the virtual wind tunnel have shown. To equalise the height, the bar top rises slightly, giving the cockpit its characteristic shape.
A little below, things continue in a well thought-out way: The moderately flared lower bar with 15° flare offers just the right amount of control for fast descents and technically demanding terrain. The long drops and the wide handlebar arch, which noticeably improves access to the brake levers, also convey safety. The contours of the bar top have also been optimised so that there is enough space for the forearms when sprinting.
Exposed brake lines are also no longer an issue with the one-piece gravel cockpit. They can be laid neatly over troughs on the underside and thus do not interfere with the appearance or aerodynamics. This has the additional advantage that the cables remain easily accessible and the handlebar can be removed without disconnecting the cables. A bike computer can also be fitted: The matching Garmin/Wahoo out-front mount can be integrated form-fit and is available separately as an accessory.

Note:
The Gravel Cockpit was developed for electronic shifting with radio control (SRAM AXS, Shimano Di2 12-speed). The cable integration is therefore only intended for brake hoses – NOT for additional shift cables or Di2 cables.
It is NOT possible to fit an aero bar.
Tip:
The matching Garmin/Wahoo mount stem bracket for mounting a bike computer can be found under prod. code: 2340106. It is angle-adjustable and allows a camera or light to be mounted on the underside.
